Minecraftle

Played:0 times

Minecraftle is a small-word crafting puzzle. You will get limited hints and will have to guess the crafting recipes. It's a game about your knowledge and memory of Minecraft mechanics, items, and crafting recipes. It converts your Minecraft knowledge into a fun logic puzzle where you have to remember exactly what items you need and where to put those items in the crafting grid.

Rules of the Game

In Wordle, you guess a word, while Minecraftle asks you to guess the crafting recipe for an item. You have to figure out what materials you need and where to place them on the crafting grid. You can use the game's input to refine your theory, and you can repeat this process as many times as you choose.

The ingredients will tell you what ingredients (very important) and what amount of ingredients you need, but also the order they must be in (and possibly how many vacant slots to leave in the recipe). Even if you have all the appropriate ingredients, you won't achieve the desired result if they are out of order!

Challenges of the Day

Minecraftle designs another puzzle each day that tests a player's knowledge of the crafting system of Minecraft. You can return the next day for a new recipe if the puzzle stumps you. These are really enjoyable if you already know how to play Minecraft, as certain things demand slightly more thought to create.

Minecraftle Tips

  • Learn the three possibilities for colored feedback: a green box indicates the ingredient is in the right slot, an orange box shows the ingredient is in the recipe but in the wrong slot, and a gray box suggests you don't need the ingredient at all.
  • As you go, modify as needed: If you have several slots correct, leave them be and only change the incorrect ones. This way, you can determine what improvements are providing better results.
  • The effect is wasted on your ten guesses if you knock out the complete recipe in one go: rather, this approach will yield the best results. Use colored slots to exclude out ingredients and try others.
  • Look for empty spaces: not all recipes use all nine crafting grid slots. So don't feel obligated to use all nine slots if the recipe only calls for a few ingredients.

Minecraftle will modify the 3×3 crafting grid in the form of something of a puzzle based off your Minecraft understanding. Players must not only recollect recipes but also use colored clues to work out the exact ingredients and where they go! You only get 10 total guesses, so every one counts.
