Next, do not limit your search to the usual horizontal left to right direction. Check all lines, horizontal, vertical and diagonal, systematically, and change directions. Watch out for small words as well, they are easily missed when surrounded by long strings of letters.
If you get stuck on a word, try to focus on smaller sections of the grid rather than looking at the whole board at once; try to concentrate on finding the first letter or distinctive letter clusters.
