Cosmillion is an intergalactic trivia game that challenges your knowledge, cause-and-effect reasoning, and creativity (in a short amount of time, with some zany, unexpected questions!). It's not only about the correct answer, it's about giving answers that no one else will, and sending your rocket further on its way to conquer the cosmos.

How to Play Cosmillion

Each round consists of 7 questions covering a variety of topics. Players must choose the correct answer to each question from a pre-compiled list. The more common your answer, the less points you score; the more unusual your answer, the higher your score.

Cosmillion features a 6-tier ranking system:

• Tourist (10 points): A common answer that many people would easily think of.
• Overthought (15 points): An answer that seems creative but is actually quite common.
• Cadet (30 points): A solid choice that demonstrates sound, logical thinking.
• Astronaut (60 points): A less common, noteworthy answer.
• Deep Space (85 points): A rare choice that very few people think of.
• One in a Galaxy (100 points): The highest tier, reserved for exceptionally rare answers.

With 7 questions per round, players can achieve a maximum score of 700 points if every answer reaches the One in a Galaxy tier.

Diverse Game Modes

Cosmillion offers various ways to play, allowing you to explore the game and improve your performance:

• Daily Launch: A daily game challenge. Play to maintain your streak!
• Unlimited: An infinite game mode with its own questions, all biased toward questions you're yet to see.
• Archive: Allows you to replay daily challenges from previous dates.
• Themed Packs: Question sets centered around specific topics such as movies, sports, geography, language, music, space, and history. Each pack consists of 7 questions and tracks your best score.

Additionally, players can monitor their progress in a logbook directly within their browser. Achieving a perfect day answering all 7 questions and completing all 3 tasks, earns you a streak restore, which can be used to recover a missed day.

What makes Cosmillion engaging?

The appeal of Cosmillion lies in the fact that the correct answer isn't necessarily the one that yields the highest score. Rather than relying solely on factual knowledge, players are encouraged to think outside the box, avoiding common, predictable choices in favor of more unique, less obvious answers.

All answer lists are manually checked prior to inclusion in the game. It also accounts for common variations such as misspellings, plural forms, punctuation, and common aliases. It will suggest near matches where necessary.

Cosmillion also prioritizes privacy: the game runs entirely on your device, requires no account, and does not transmit any gameplay data to a server. Rarity levels are pre-defined, while the "crowd" charts and ranking information are generated via estimation models rather than being derived from the live data of actual players. Secondly, the game does not have AI generate or check answers when the players are playing the game.
