Originle

Originle is an enjoyable country-guessing game that tests your knowledge of geography, culture, and deduction. The user has to deduce, using videos and clues, the country of the origin of the guest of the day. Unlike other games, Originle has no map or trivia; instead, it tells the tales of actual people so that you can learn about the culture of that particular region.

How to play Originle

The round starts with a video of the guest's introduction. Players then must listen/watch for clues that can disclose the country of origin.
If you're still stuck, tap Reveal next clue for additional clues. 8 hints, from the hardest to the easiest.

Rules and Scoring

Players have 3 tries to guess the country. The maximum score is 10,000, so be careful before releasing more information.

• The closer you get to revealing all of the clues, the more points you will lose, from 250 points lost if you reveal the first clue to 1750 points lost if you reveal the last clue.
• Each wrong guess will reduce your current score by 30 percent.
• Even if you exhaust all 3 efforts or quit, you will still receive points depending on how close you were.

The cool thing about Originle is that the answer is not always the country the guest lives in or was born in. Many of the guests are members of the diaspora with family roots and cultural history in another country.
