Scoredle is a word-guessing game centered on identifying a five-letter word based on clues provided after each entry. Instead of guessing at random, you must use information from each turn to progressively narrow down the list of possible answers.
Scoredle is defined by five key elements: eliminating incorrect letters, identifying the positions of correct letters, narrowing down groups of words with similar structures, balancing the need to gather more information against guessing the answer, and striving to find the correct word in the fewest number of turns.

After entering a word, highlighted letters indicate which ones appear in the answer and which do not. This information serves as the basis for choosing your next word.
Once you have identified certain letters and their positions, you can eliminate a large number of impossible words. Words sharing the same endings or letter groups often create tricky situations, requiring careful consideration of your next guess.
When multiple possible answers remain, you can enter a word to test more letters or directly choose the word you believe is the answer. This decision impacts the number of turns required to complete the puzzle.
Solving the word is the primary goal, but completing the puzzle in fewer guesses is also a compelling aspect of Scoredle. After each game, you can review your solving process and adjust your strategy for future puzzles. Alternatively, players can switch to the new game, Globle.
